If you had a dental appointment scheduled at Foothills Dentistry in Calgary prior to quarantine, you can reschedule your appointment. It is important to get another appointment scheduled if you are missing your bi-annual appointment. If our office has not reached out to you already to get a new appointment set up, call and text or e-mail us. E-mail info@foothillsdentistry.ca or call/text: 825.882.5882 between 10 am-10 pm. We also want to share some tips for maintaining your oral health during this time. Read on below:
Be sure you are brushing regularly with fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristle brush, floss, and use mouthwash every day. You can also try brushing after every meal, not just twice a day. Maintaining your oral health can also help prevent tooth decay and gum disease. When you are bored and alone at home it can be tempting to snack on unhealthy food. Processed sugars in junk foods are one of the leading causes of tooth decay. Foods like cheese and vegetables are a better choice than candy or chips.
While we are closed to routine appointments, we are still prepared to satisfy your emergency dentistry needs. If you are experiencing tooth pain or gum swelling, or if you have knocked out a tooth, contact our office and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Your dental care and safety is our priority at this time.
For emergencies, please email Foothills Dentistry as soon as possible at info@foothillsdentistry.ca or call/text: 825.882.5882 between 10 am-10 pm and Dr. Shruti Chahal will contact you. If you have been forced to cancel your regular dental checkup, make sure to reschedule your dental cleaning once we are open. We look forward to seeing you for a routine cleaning soon enough, but for now, stay safe and healthy!
